    Liberty Walk essentially tacks on widebody pieces to cars. They leave the rivets exposed and overall ruin the aerodynamics and make the car look unfinished. Basically, it's ricer garbage coming out of Japan. The new NSX is fitting for their next target but they took a different approach here by actually molding the pieces. It gives the NSX a more aggressive look but once again the effect on the aerodynamics is not tested. This aggressive drop will also ruin the handling but anyone running Liberty Walk anything threw away the performance aspects of their vehicle anyway.

    There are few details here from Russian tuner Altechnoracing but they do provide a graph of what is a second generation Audi TT-RS 2.5 TFSI topping 1000 horsepower a the crank. It makes 1006 horsepower and 770 lb-ft of torque at the crank to be accurate. This is on 101 RON race gas and 33.3 PSI of boost: Not bad, right? If tuners can keep the dual clutch transmissions and all wheel drive together the new RS3 and TT-RS will be a mini-German GTR.

    Introducing the new 2018 Porsche 718 Cayman and Boxster GTS. Unlike the previous generation 981 GTS models Porsche actually makes the 2018 GTS worth the money. They do not just change software on the motor but provide a larger turbocharger. This bumps horsepower to 365 and torque to 309 lb-ft. Is also means the GTS will offer more tuning headroom. Basically, a factory turbo upgrade. Whether this means Porsche will offer a turbo retrofit for the 718 Cayman and Boxster S with a performance package as they do with the 991.2 Carrera S remains to be seen. Power is only part of the equation as several options such as Porsche Torque Vectoring and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) are standard on the GTS. There are minor styling changes with black accents inside and out as well as alcantara for the interior. Overall, a very nice upgrade if you can stomach the $79,800 for the Cayman GTS and $81,900 for the Boxster GTS. More power, exclusive equipment Atlanta, Georgia. Porsche is expanding the mid-engine 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman model lines with new GTS models. A newly developed intake plenum and an optimized turbocharger increases the output of the 2.5 liter flat-four cylinder engine to 365 horsepower. This is 15 horsepower more than on the 718 S models and up to 35 horsepower more compared to the previous generation of naturally aspirated Boxster and Cayman GTS variants. Like all 718 model variants, the new GTS derivatives come standard with a six-speed manual transmission. The seven-speed Porsche Doppelkupplung (PDK) dual-clutch transmission is available to order as an option. A number of performance-enhancing options such as Porsche Torque Vectoring (PTV) including a mechanical rear-differential lock or the Sport Chrono Package are standard on the GTS models, as well as Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), which reduces the ride height by 0.39 inches (10 millimeters) compared to the standard suspension on other 718 Boxster and Cayman models. Increased performance with more power The maximum torque of up to 317 lb-ft (309 lb-ft on manual transmission models) is available across a broad power band from 1,900 to 5,000 rpm (1,900 to 5,500 rpm on manual transmission models) and further improves acceleration. When equipped with the optional PDK transmission both GTS models are capable of accelerating from zero to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds. The top track speed is 180 mph. Characteristic GTS: black accents inside and out The GTS models set themselves apart through distinct visual differences. The Sport Design front fascia underscores the performance of the car. Tinted front indicator lights and taillights, model designations in black, a black lower rear fascia, and black tips on the centrally mounted standard Sport Exhaust System make the GTS models stand out. Black GTS designations on the doors and matte black 20-inch wheels complete the particularly dynamic appearance. Interior: Standard Alcantara® and Porsche Track Precision App The interior is also pure GTS. The chronometer of the standard Sport Chrono Package is centrally mounted on the dashboard. The seat centers of the standard Sport Seats Plus are made of Alcantara®. Featuring an embroidered GTS logo on the headrests, they provide particularly high lateral support and comfort. The steering wheel rim, center console armrest, and door armrests are also made of Alcantara®. When the optional Navigation Module and Connect Plus Packages are ordered, the standard Sport Chrono Package also offers the Porsche Track Precision App (PTPA). The app allows performance oriented drivers to automatically record, display, and analyze driving data obtained on closed courses on a smartphone. Market availability and pricing The 2018 718 GTS models are now available to order and are expected to arrive at U.S. dealers by March 2018.     This is definitely one we have all been waiting to see. Hopes are high for the new B9 generation Audi RS5 and its twin turbo EA839 2.9 liter V6. The engine should prove to be a popular tuning platform and it is shared with the Porsche Panamera 4S. Brute force is on the side of the AMG in this battle however. The M177 4.0 liter V8 is just a bigger motor. If you are into power and torque it is very difficult to argue against it. The aftermarket also loves it and with those two turbos sitting right on top 700+ whp with upgrades is just the beginning of what we will see. Power and torque aside, which one is more fun to drive? The Audi is estimated to be 200 pounds lighter. Come on Motortrend, you couldn't weigh the cars? You're going by quoted weights? Lazy work. We want actual independent testing or what is the point of this? Not only do they not weigh the cars they do not test them on a racetrack. No laptimes, just a bunch of yammering. Weak. Not only do we not get laptimes but there are no independent performance measures either. They simply quote manufacturer figures. They did not even line the cars up. This entire Head 2 Head has very little actual head to head comparison going on. What a waste of time. We'll have to wait for a proper comparison from someone who takes this seriously.

Actually, the RS3 bests it almost everywhere in instrumented performance except braking from 70mph!

    I went on the other M3 boards and found as follows: REARS max 305 on an 11" - There is a statement to not go more than 20mm between f/r for stability control so staying with a 295 given 275 front is suggested. 19x10.5 +22 w. PS2's 295/30/19 no rub; 19x11 +33 w. Nitto Invo 305/30-19 no rub; 19 x 11 et 30 w. Bridgestone RE-11 305/30/19 no rub; 19x11 et25 with 295/30 rubs, 20 x 11 +29 w. Pirelli PZero Nero 305/25/20 no rub; FRONTS max 275 on a 10" 19x10 et20 w. PSS 275/30 no rub; 19x10 et20F w. Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 275/30 F - occasional full lock lowspeed turns on the bottom of the front fender liner.

    I have a modded vt650 kit on my m3 with 600whp. Im running stock ZCP'S 9/10 with PSS 255/285 30's on full suspension. I had to trim the inner fender well for the 285's to fit but after no issues. I'm not going to run a sloppy 295 on a 10 combo and have it handle like shit. I've also run cups before and they are junk until hot on the street and hydroplane. What is the widest rim and tire I can fit in the space? Traction is a problem and I'm tired of burning out $400 tires in 8k! I'm thinking of going larger in the rim and tire if it can fit and NOT rub no matter what. Handling is key as I take the car through canyons every weekend and have a professional racing background. I was thinking of just getting a set of the new Conti Extreme sports as they're cheap to check them out but read mixed reviews and Tirerack scams you as they won't post numerical objective date to compare to PSS. Thanks!

    that intercooler is so pretty and seamless! cant wait to see results... funny i saw some C/D test of this car and it competes against the M2 but the RS3 is so far ahead that its actually matching and beating the M3, which competes in a higher up segment, in most of the test! This car is the car all the Audi fanboys like me have been waiting for since the old B5 S4 :)
