Audi planning range topping R10 hybrid diesel supercar to sit above R8 based on Le Mans racing technology?

This is not confirmed officially yet but initial reports point to Audi developing a new range topping supercar based on technology from the Le Mans winning race cars. The car tentatively said to be badged an R10 and will be a diesel hybrid model mirroring drivetrain aspects from the
R18 E-Tron TDI hybrid diesel race car. This means all wheel drive but iwth an electric motor at each wheel. This in combination with a turbocharged diesel powerplant.
Will this car actually come to fruition? With Audi recently
cancelling the E-Tron Quattro due to it being deemed too expensive it does not seem logical that they would now try to produce an even far more expensive car. Treat this as a rumor for now but this would certainly be an interesting vehicle and a
competitor to the Porsche 918 hybrid supercar.
