    • Audi's 2018 MKIII TT-RS is a beast - Test results show 11.6@121 1/4 mile, 0-60 in 3.6

Talk about a pocket rocket! The new Audi TT-RS is very stout. If you pull up next to one do not take it lightly. With all wheel drive, a dual clutch S-Tronic gearbox, and 400 horsepower with 354 lb-ft of torque from the revised 2.5 TFSI I5 the car is a beast off the line.

How about 0-60 in 3.6 seconds? How about a 1/4 mile sprint of 11.6 seconds at 121 miles per hour? That means the TT-RS won't have trouble with a Porsche 991.2 Carrera S at a light. Let that sink in.

It clearly has no trouble with the 718 Cayman S MotorSport Magazine in France compared it to. The Cayman is quick with a 12.3 @ 116.8 in the 1/4 mile but it is almost a full second slower through 1000 meters. The TT-RS simply eats it alive.

You already know the 2.5 TFSI is a potent and award winning powerplant. This same motor will be in the RS3 sedan. Obviously the sedan will be a bit heavier than the 3174 pound TT-RS (US weight will be higher) but it should still be 11 second capable stock.

In the aftermarket, the sky is the limit for the 2.5 TFSI motor. Audi tuning will really pick up with two models in the US available with the motor.

Any real tweaks to the motor or is this a software update?

Here are the dynos for each, including M2. TT RS has the most power. Surprised that M2 wasnt underrated.
