      The new Audi RS3 sedan is already over 500 horsepower. It did not take much time at all now did it? The 2.5 TFSI single turbo inline-5 simply continues to impress and its new dual fuel injection system should make it even more tuner friendly.


      Let's take a look at the dyno:


      That is 450 awhp from an Iroz intercooler, downpipe, and Custom-Code software on 93 octane pump gas.

      The baseline figure looks to be roughly 360 awhp. With an intercooler and downpipe that goes to about 400 awhp.

      Essentially, gains of almost 100 awhp with basic bolt ons on pump gas.

      Keep in mind in warm Vegas weather Iroz got a baseline of 12.0 @ 113 for the car. This should be a low 11-second car at around 120 miles per hour in the 1/4 mile with bolt ons. Tuned RS3's are going to be a handful.

        so with race gas it will hit 470whp Click here to enlarge, the old engine need a turbo upgrade to hit 450whp or more

        i think there is a lot more left in that iroz setup as unitronic has just gotten around 100hp out of their beta tune testing (no other mods) and ran 10.9 @126... with downpipe they should be another +40whp (iroz downpipes have been picking up 40-60whp with no tune)

        these cars are probably gonna be running in mid 10s low 130s on stage 2+ setup(tune+dp+intake) before long

        then when the big xona kits come you will see mid 9's mid 140s is my guess (they are already getting that on the old 2.5tfsi)

        it should its the stronger DQ500 vs the weaker DQ250 that is in the golf R/S3/A3.

        Iroz has a fully built golfR with built DSG (DQ250) hitting mid 9's...so since the DQ500 is stronger in factory form, its reasonable to assume it would also respond to clutch upgrades like the DQ250 and become even stronger.

        I assume built internals will be required for 9's.....anyone think otherwise?

        Jeeze, I just loaded one of these up on Audi's site and barely cracked $60k. What a bargain. Why can't they offer the hatch state side!?

        Wow. This thing is moving. It will likely go low 10s@13x with stock turbo? Can't think of many cars outside of the GTR/991 turbo that will claim the same. Very cool to see it happening with a single turbo and 2.5l.

        The TT-RS is a tad faster I believe. Looking at what needs to be done to get to 10s in the M....Audi looks so good now!

        yeah and that is just on the beta tune... they said there is still more to milk out of the tune....
