    • Unitronic Stage 1+ software pushes the MKIII Audi TT-RS 2.5 TFSI to 10.93@129.09

Damn. The TT-RS sure moves, doesn't it? Yes, this is still tune only. Compare it to the previous 10-second results with the Stage I Unitronic software. They picked up almost three miles per hour of trap speed but the elapsed time did not improve.

Why? Traction. This 10.93 comes on a 1.701 60 foot. The previous run with Stage I software produced a 1.655 60 foot.

Not bad at all for a pump gas tune on 20 inch street rubber. If they throw some stickier tires on there we can expect the short time to drop but then getting heat into the rubber also poses a problem.

      TCU tuning is next:

Plenty more to come as we continue with development and testing of our upcoming DQ500-MQB (TCU) Performance Software.
      Phenomenal results early on.

This car will go 10.5, tune only, race gas and good rubber.

        Nutty.

I wish they used this engine in more platforms. Imagine a 5-cylinder 718 S or Golf R. I love the new TTRS but can't get over the side profile and rear styling, still doesn't look grown up enough. The front end looks gorgeous though.

The 718S would be a monster. Still, its 2.5 B4 is no slouch there just is no tuning for it yet.

Still not quite 'manly' enough but it's the best TT design so far:

Maybe a roadster in black is more your cup of tea?
