    • MTR Performance has the 8V Audi RS3 2.5 TFSI at 700 horsepower with a GtX3576 turbo

Tuning on the 2.5 TFSI platform is moving so quickly it is hard to keep up. Various tuners are offering tunes already for the new TT-RS and RS3 sedan but those in Europe got to play with the 8V RS3 earlier.

MTR Performance is a German tuner so excuse some of the German here:

      - Turbokit Gtx3576 Gen2 SAR / MTR
      - Suction 90 mm
      - exhaust system 3,5 inch with 200 cells hjs Kat's
      - vollalu llk sar / MTR
      - piston with modified compression & steel rods
      - 12,1 mm pump loba
      - modified spark plugs from ngk
      - vote on 100 octane omv max motion

It is not hard to get an idea as to what they did. A GTX3576 turbocharger and forged internals with lower compression. Then they tuned it on race gas.

The 8V RS3 hatchback launched with the previous generation 2.5 TFSI in Europe and not the new aluminum block 400 horsepower dual inejction motor. Still, this points to great tuning potential for the new RS3 and TT-RS.

The transmission seems to be fine although who knows if they upgrade it or plan to. This does bode very well for tuning of the new motor though.

The Gen2 refers to the Garret turbo. This is a steel block motor. Great result regardless.
