    • Mid 10's out of the new Audi RS3 Sedan tune only! APR Stage I ECU flash tuned 8V RS3 runs 10.55@127.62 in the 1/4 mile

This thing is absurd! APR announced their development of ECU tuning software for the new Audi 2.5 TFSI turbo I5 motor a couple weeks back. Well, that development is going very well as evidenced by this Stage I APR tuned 8V Audi RS3 sedan.

Mid 10's? Tune only? Are you kidding me? APR got the car to run 10.55 @ 127.62 with just software alone.

This is the quickest overall pass for the new 2.5 TFSI pass to date and they have yet to even begin pushing the thing! Absolutely incredible.

Video is below. We are waiting on the slip from @Arin@APR.

        Pump gas is my understanding.

Let's see if we can get @Arin@APR to clarify the fuel. I know he is going to be busy with SEMA soon.

The Audi guys aren't as quick to mess with supplementary injection so it's either straight pump or race gas. I doubt they went straight to E85.

Why would you need supplemental injection on this motor?

Don't know. I was simply responding to the post that said "if 93 only".

Man I may not even bother doing any more mods to my car after seeing this. These things are going to be taking out super cars left and right.

That’s even more awesome - Exx with no fueling mods in to the 10s? Yes please!

So running side by side with a tuned R8 Plus on E85? The world has gone mad!

It's the old M3 vs. 335 argument just replaying itself in the Audi world. We all know which is the superior performance car...

Except in this case the RS3 is actually fast...
The 335i is just a dyno queen vs the M3. 335i is faster than an M3 with just a tune but IIRC the M3 still has the 1/4mi record.

The RS3 legitimately is quick out of the box, not just for the N54 forum racing kids.

Claiming ethanol and weight reduction. 11.1 on straight pump.

Give it some time, the platform is still new. It'll be just like the 3.0t engine all over again: A few years ago, everyone thought the 3.0t was maxed out with the blower at low 12's, then people started running high 11's. Then people said it was maxed out, then people started running mid 11's, and then low 11's, and now high 10's.

There is still items left on the table in the form of a better TCU tune designed with better clamp forces, quicker shifts, better shift points, and better launch control techniques. In addition, the car in question didn't have an intake, exhaust (stock downpipes), or intercooler with better flow...

If this thing can run 10.5 w/o weight reduction on just a stage 1/E85 tune, I'm all for it.
