Tx2k build assistance.
" So, lets get down to business. I've been wanting to head down to tx2k since th beginning and have a great opportunity to be a part of the festivities. Here's the problem. I don't have the proper tools to compete quite yet. Lets just say I have quite a bit of riding experience but not with many different bikes. I am looking into a nitrous build on a liter bike but not sure which fits the bill.
So I am going to do a 50-100 shot liter bike with bolt ons. I have a dyno tune nitrous kit for a zx-10 but am rethinking of purchasing one, here's why:
i have never ridden any liter bikes yet. Only a hayabusa for a bit of time and really enjoy the comfort of the busa. The torque is awesome, the aftermarket is huge, but the bike is considerably heavy compared to the liter bikes.luckily, a lot of power can be made to hide the weight difference but I'm not 100% sure.
I am a die hard Honda fan but the latest gen 1000rr has oil consumption issues which concern me. Lightweight and excellent ergonomics though. The 06-07, the previous gen with most power and lightest weight, can't compete stock for stock against the zx10 nor gsxr 1000. So I am scrapping that. Love the repsol though. Beautiful paint scheme.
The gsxr 1000, 05 in particular receives great reviews from their prospective owners, and I think I'm in love. The only other gsxr I've ridden is an older 99-00 gsxr 750 srad which was amazing minus the carburetor. Fi would make that thing great. I think a newer gsxr 750 will be a great option but, I know I will want liter bike power. Sure a turbo kit will get me there but that kills the natural nature of motorcycles in my eyes. "
