He didn't know I was here. He doesn't know who runs the site. He has no idea about anything.
To me, it's pretty cool the site has grown to the point where someone like this joins. Somebody I happened to run into a long time ago.
He won't show his face again but to me it's ultimately satisfying to address a major event from M5board that resulted in me being banned even though I was correct. Now it's me with the power and not some idiot like Kees. I managed to turn the tables. I don't think people know how big this stuff was on M5board back in the day. It's just personally satisfying for me and I'll admit it was a bit of nostalgic fun.
E39 M5 versus E92 M3 in 2014. This is so ridiculous you can't make it up.
I bet it would feel amazing with some BBK. Damn you did really well with an open diff man, I didn't have balls when I went to the track two weeks ago with my 335 lol.
LOL. Let me clarify, I wasn't driving the car. Rob (the driver) is a good friend and he is the manager of the shop that works on my car. From what I can see in the video, he turned 1.43 without even pushing it, I told him to not to go over 140(the car will do 160+) at the back straight as the car really needed new brake pads "
You can purchase the differential from BMW and pay the dealer or someone to install it, but you can't add it as a factory option.
I guess the best you could hope for would be purchasing the car and having them add the differential and labor to your invoice and have it installed by the dealer. But its not as simple as just "checking a box" when ordering the M235i to have it fitted with a LSD from the factory, which in my opinion is total bullshit. I have no idea how much the BMW performance LSD is going to cost, but i am willing to bet that aftermarket options will be a better value. "
" Agreed with DavidV. I've been running PSS for a while now and couldn't be happier. In addition, the fastest cars at the latest AutoX events (running street tires vs something like Hoosiers) have been running PSS's.
" The reason SCT has control over the ZF TCM used by ford is the same reason reason Cobb has advanced the 2.0 Ecoboost ECU further in a few short months than it has the N54 DME in 3 years(both built/designed by Bosch.) That reason is DOMESTIC STUFF IS EASY. Domestic manufacturers seem to want their stuff cracked and used to make more power. "

subscribing to this thread! My car is in the shop for repairs and they gave me a 428i loaner car with the 8-speed transmission. I'm not going to lie but that damn car is waaayyyyyy faster than I had ever was going to be thinking lol. very impressed and that transmission is incredibly impressive.
Agree with you there, that new 8 speed transmission they have out is pretty nice! "
" Michelin PSS. You can't go wrong with those.
Their wear is excellent, they perform outstanding in wet and dry, straight line and in corners.
They even hold up fairly well on trackdays, leaving you with enough rubber to make it home
