Everybody takes their own approach with the hardware. The software makes it all possible. It's the most important step. I can find you a few dozen US companies that can put a supercharger on a V8. I can't find you a dozen that could tune it.
Bingo - and that is why the followers can offer cheap kits when they can mostly bypass the software development stage.
And the original company that did the actual development and had to deal with the costs involved => their pricing. "
The only s54 car you mentioned other than your own is the max psi e46 and I currently am far ahead of that car power wise.
Bring it to the East Coast, theoretically Max PSI will have their stock DME build motor kit & Undercover has also been tuning RS Worx Saad Turbo E46 M3 (think it's 900 WHP+) & a few customer cars with similar setups "
Developing these kits was a bit more involved than just "getting the right codes".

" I hope they make a kit that people can order and have by their house within 2-3 weeks, waiting almost a year like VTT stage 3 is totally ridiculous. As a vendor, make like 10 kits ready for sale, don't wait for people to send in cash so you can spend it on development etc.... "
" Hm, so possibly not worth the effort putting the disc/rod things in?
and wouldn't be possible to make a plate that takes the water ports into account? bugger.. hopefully it can take enough power as it is to satisfy everyone lol.. even so, even if you could mostly close it, would it just make the already hot-running motor run TOO hot?
best not to worry about if if nothing can be done i guess? - though if there was something, i'm sure plenty of people would buy it just in case lol "
" Didn't take long to prove the bs negative spin wrong. It will take a little longer on the N55 but the end result will be the same. Again thanks to @gogunbaba for all his time spent getting results! It is much appreciated "
" This is why you never base anything off n=1, especially when things look wrong. What you wanna bet he'll break 500whp now? Nothing amazing, just working as intended. Happy to see your issues getting fixed @gogunbaba we appreciate your dedication, I'm glad these turbo's are beginning to look like a highly viable option for our cars! "
