What does Boba Motoring do? Well, they build the fastest Volkswagens in the world. For example this MKII Volkswagen Golf with a DQ250 DSG swap with 4Motion all wheel drive drivetrain added in. Oh, and don't forget the custom turbo 2.0 liter motor pushing absurd boost. How much power are they making? Who knows but it is well over 1000. Four years ago they were doing 1150+ horsepower at 58 psi of boost. Back in 2012 they were running 8.8 @ 163 in the 1/4 mile. Oh, and how about easily topping 200 miles per hour in an old Golf? The recipe is rather simple with taking a light Golf and adding a ton of power and all wheel drive. How light? 2600 pounds. Which is somewhat heavy for a Boba Motoring build but the DSG adds weight. Enjoy this complete insanity of a Golf. FASTEST VW DSG AWD IN THE WORLD! Bobas VW Golf Mk2 4Motion 2.0L 16V Turbo street car new DSG DQ250 gearbox setup test. Turbocharger from extreme Tuners. NG-Motorsports CNC cylinder head porting. Racelogic Performance Box (1000HP setup) 0-100km/h in 1,8s 0-200km/h in 4,8s 200-250km/h in 2,1s 1/4 mile: 8,47s @ 269,0km/h car weight: 1180kg without driver top speed: 340+km/h Built and tuned by Boba-Motoring DSG ECU Adrenalin Tuning visit my Homepage or Facebook site Boba-motoring.de or Facebook/Boba-Motoring

The Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio is a very stout car in stock form with its 2.9 liter F154 V6 (based off a Ferrari V8 design) easily providing enough brute force to run with and pull from the competition. Just look at the baseline here on VF-Engineering's Mustang dyno. This is a dyno BoostAddict.com is very familiar with as our Project 991.2 put down a baseline of 345 wheel horsepower. The Giulia Quadrifoglio F154 V6 baselines 418 wheel horsepower: That is a stout powerplant. The tuning market for it though is not nearly as robust as its competition. Few tuners are getting much out of it but VF is showing some impressive numbers: 68 WTQ Peak Gains 72 ft. lbs MAX Gains @ 3,800 21 WHP Peak Gains 51 horsepower MAX Gains @ 4,150 Yes, the big torque gains come down low but from 2500 rpm to 5600 rpm there is a substantial increase in area under the curve. The turbos look like they run out of steam but power keeps building until 6500 rpm. Either way this software makes a substantial difference and we look forward to seeing some track numbers. It's about time this platform got going.

Is the new C7 Corvette ZR1 faster than the C7 Z06? Of course. The dual-injected LT5 V8 has a much larger Eaton TVS2650 blower compared to the Z06 LT4 TVS1740 which in the opinion of this network General Motors made a mistake equipping the LT4 with. A 1.7 liter TVS unit is just too small. The TVS2650 has a much better top end and offers more room to grow. You do not have to spin it nearly as hard so it runs cooler as well. The LT5 is in the 660 wheel horsepower and 630 lb-ft of wheel torque range compared to the LT4 570 wheel horsepower and 561 lb-ft of wheel torque. The video below exaggerates the difference as the Z06 is manual. The ZR1 is automatic and you clearly see the shift speed pays huge dividends. Regardless, the ZR1 quickly puts car lengths on the Z06. Skip to the 7 minute mark.

OBD-II tuning for the BMW B58 motor continues to spread out all over the world. TC-Performance in Poland got their hands on an F30 340i for a Stage I OBD-II ecu flash and custom dyno tune. The baseline is 365 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque at the crank. Yes, the B58 is underrated and yes it also has the flattest curve of the modern BMW factory 3.0 liter turbo motors: The factory tune is making power almost to 7000 rpm. So what does output go to when tuned? 429 horsepower and 441 lb-ft o torque. Excellent tune only pump gas gains. You the majority of the torque gain come in at 3000 rpm but the torque curve holds fairly well toward redline. There is not a sudden, massive drop off. The B58 is a very nice BMW tuning base.

Yes, another day another 10-second RS3. This one is interesting as the only engine modification is software courtesy of Stage 1 APR tuning. Beyond that the engine, transmission, exhaust, fuel system, intake, etc., is all stock. They did strip out weight though and go to grippier rubber: We already know the platform can do 10's with just software but this is pretty impressive considering conditions are still relatively warm out.

The Ford Ranger hype continues with the news that Ford officially confirmed the Ranger Raptor for the European market. Uh, Ford, hello? What about us in the USA? The Ranger is obviously confirmed but Ford is taking their sweet time to let us know if we will get the Raptor version (we will). Ford does a good job detailing all the specs in the release except for the motor. There are various rumors out there but the Ranger Raptor will likely get something resembling the Focus RS engine. That means the same 2.3 liter the regular Ranger will get but with some high performance tweaks to get horsepower in the 340+ range. The 10-speed automatic is shared with the F-150 Raptor so it can take whatever the 2.3 liter Ecoboost can throw at it. Who else wants one? The New Ford Ranger Raptor is the toughest, highest performing version of Fordís best pick-up. And itís coming to Europe. See it in explosive action. The New Ford Ranger Raptor is the ultimate adventure pick-up. And in this exclusive launch video it takes on challenging terrain, bikers, ATVs, explosions and much more. The commanding presence delivered by the Ranger Raptorís imposing scale and distinctive styling is supported by a unique Ford Performance chassis optimised for high-speed off-road driving and go-anywhere capability. The Raptorís suspension has been specifically engineered and tuned to tackle formidable terrain at high-speed whilst remaining in complete control and comfort. Fox Racing Shox shock absorbers with Position Sensitive Damping provide the damping forces necessary for extreme driving situations. The new Ranger Raptorís aggressive design is driven by performance and functionality. Ford engineers extensively tested the new powerful Bi-turbo 2.0-litre EcoBlue and 10 speed automatic powertrain to prove durability in the most demanding conditions. And Fordís 10-speed automatic transmission, that is shared with the F-150 Raptor, has been created using high-strength steel, aluminium alloys and composites to optimise durability and weight. There are also driver assistance and safety technologies that boost confidence for drivers facing unknown off-road challenges or tough working environments. A series of sophisticated technologies are designed to make the new Ranger Raptor comfortable and convenient on- or off-road. These include Fordís SYNC 3 communications and entertainment system. which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Autoô. It also incorporates SYNC AppLink for voice-activation of a range of smartphone apps. The systemís central 8-inch colour touchscreen can be operated with pinch and swipe gestures, and features sat-nav technology that comes into its own when off-roading in remote locations, even offering a Ďbreadcrumbí feature to leave a trail when exploring unchartered areas. Developed for the true enthusiast off-roader, the first-ever Ranger Raptor will go on sale to thrill-seeking drivers in Europe in mid-2019.
