    • Why is nobody talking about Eurocode and Burger Tuning getting 700+ horsepower out of a turbo upgraded Audi B9 S4 3.0 EA839 V6?

Audi B9 S4 and S5 tuning is taking a back seat compared to the 8V RS3 sedan and the TT-RS. Why? Because the 2.5 TFSI ECU is cracked and tuneable whereas the B9 S4 and S5 EA839 3.0 twin scroll top mount turbo V6 ECU is still posing problems.

Yet, Eurocode and Burger Tuning or BMS were able to get a ton of power out of this 2018 B9 S4. Yes, that BMS of JB4 N54 tuning fame.

If you can not get access to the ECU directly Terry at BMS is who you call. Eurocode made that call and while we do not know the technical details what they are doing is working.

This S4 has an upgraded turbocharger using a center section that is similar to the SRM (Silly Rabbit Motorsport) 2.5 TFSI turbo upgrade. The turbo housing remains stock.

The turbo can support over 700 horsepower and we do not doubt them but want to see a dyno. AudiBoost salivated over the potential of this motor since it was announced.

Think about it. This motor features an easy to reach top mount twin scroll single turbo and it is shared across several VAG platforms. The Panamera, Audi SQ5, VW Touareg, Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q8, Audi A8, Audi A7, and Audi A6 all share this motor.

This motor should be a tuners dream and a value. In the video below you can get an idea that it is quick but obviously this is very early in the tuning process.

Things are looking promising and hopefully some supporting data comes soon.

I don't think they have the fueling to do 700hp, they said the turbo can support up to 700hp, not that the car currently has 700. They said more than RS5 which i take is marketing speak for 451hp. Click here to enlarge

in addition, did you watch the video? it really doesn't seem like 700hp worth of acceleration...more like 451hp....

Well a dyno would clear this up.

I don't know why that guy was acting the way he was if it was only 451.

The title of the vid specifies 700 as the range. The turbo they are using should be putting it in that range.

My 2013 S5 did 545whp on Mustang dyno my engine is older Gen3 . This is new gen of V6 have dual port injectors etc . should be easy 800hp on stock engine with the good tune and big turbo.

Are you sure about the port injectors? I thought it was just the 2.5 TFSI with dual-injection.

I'm sorry , I think you right there is no dual port only 4th Gen V6 Supercharger engine had that ) I'm actually in progress to adapt that supercharger to my older engine 3rd Gen with dual port

Yeah. If these motors had dual injection they would be the next big thing.

The only 3.0t engine with dual injection is the CREC 3.0 supercharged one, which unfortunately has been a tough cookie to tune aggressively with its unique ecu, and wasn't available here in the states sadly.

Why? I don't know. You would assume Audi would just use the same pistons and rods to lower costs as that is what they do.
Yeah cost cutting is probably the reason. The 3.0tt is drived from the 4.0 V8 from what I gathered, exact same bore and stroke and both are 90 degree (84.5 mm x 90 mm) So i guess its safe to assume the 3.0 is a 4.0 with 2 cylinders chopped off.

I tried to cross reference the 2.9 to Porsche 4.0 (86 mm x 86 mm) but they donít match up. Probably the went cheap with the 3.0 first time and they improvised with the 2.9.

Well your 2013 s5 also had a full ecu flash tune which was able to control all or nearly all parameters of the ecu including the full control of fuel injection.
that is not the case for this car, right now, the guy says in the video that a bms piggyback is providing the tune not a full Ecu tune.

And 800hp on a stock engine? without forged interals I doubt it. 600 wheel torque bends rods in twice as expensive elite sports cars why would these s5 rods be stronger....Doesn’t make sense.

the fact that they have a 700hp CAPABLE turbo is very encouraging, no doubt, once the encryption is broken the modding on this platform willl take off.

The new Gen 971 Panamera and Cayenne use the single turbo Audi developed 3.0 single turbo engines. Its also going on the facelift Macan S. Panamera S and Cayenne S use 2.9Twin turbo which seems to be Porsche developed although not confirmed. Macan Turbo will get the 2.9Twin as well now in facelift version.

It's odd as if they wanted to cut costs they could have just made them both 3.0's.

You gonna be surprised lol when ECU will be fully cracked ! My car actually stock internals and currently doing dual port injectors setup with the CREC SC and 66mm turbo on 3rd Gen V6 this is gonna be twincharger . I'm at 600whp already and connecting rods is not the weak point in those engines.

So... After seeing some recent videos of this car running around, are we ever going to get some dyno data?

Now that we got the BCM rolling we're able to target the boost we want. He needs a methanol kit badly though.

I'm working on a PS2 Audi S4 locally that has our protoype intake system and our JB4+Methanol kit rocking right now. I'll be getting dyno numbers with that one.

What about more of the Eurocode Garrett center sections? We should be seeing these guys doing 800+

Those center sections are not rated for 800hp, about 600-700.
