    • ABT is offering their Audi B9 S4/S5 EA839 3.0 turbo V6 tune in the USA - ABT Engine Control piggyback

This is good news for those who do not want to a wait for a proper ECU tune. ABT announced they are blessing the US market with their piggyback tune for the EA839 3.0 V6 in the Audi B9 S4 and S5.

Nobody seems to have access to the ECU just yet so at least this is something for the platform. The issue is ABT is not proving any power claims or providing any test figures:

That is a pretty lame press release where we are supposed to just take their word for it that they tested it on the dyno. If so, release the graphs!

There is no data to go on here and this is typical of many European tuners.

ABT is asking $2490 for a claimed increase up to 420 horsepower. There are probably better ways to spend your money.

70hp is quite a lot to make (350ish to 420ish) with a piggyback on 93 octane.

However even if the Jb4 makes slightly less power than the ABT tune, at $500, the BMS JB4 is 80% less expensive.

There is no reason for the JB4 not to make similar if not more power than that unit which only connects to the two boost sensors, rpm signal from the camshaft sensor and throttle for position (this allows the "3D" tuning aspect).

Don't worry, I'll have dyno numbers soon Click here to enlarge.
@Sticky George is a part of BMS, he shouldn't be a guest vendor.

As he focuses on VAG products that would require a different vendor package from BMS to cover him.

Interesting, I didn't know you had to pay for each product you sell.

Great, can't wait to see it!

More than 70hp increase on 93 octane, tune only, would be a great value!

No, you don't. You go by domain.

So, BimmerBoost covers all BMW products for you and that by extension goes to GermanBoost and BoostAddict.

AudiBoost sponsorship would then cover the product for George. Make sense?
