    • 9's on the stock Audi 2.5 TFSI turbo any day now - Iroz/Custom Code tuned bolt on E85 8V RS3 with weight stripped out runs 10.009@136.73

You already knew it was a matter of time but Iroz is trying hard to crack into the 9's on the stock Audi 2.5 TFSI turbocharger. They also have another car trying for 8's but the point to take away from this is the 2.5 TFSI is the hottest platform in the tuning game right now.

To see an Audi sedan at less than half the price of a 911 Turbo with over a liter less displacement put up times that would humble a tuned 991.1 Turbo is insane.

That they are going to get into the 9's on the factory turbo just reinforces the whole issue.

      Keep it coming guys...

Hank did say he thought 550 was the limit...

If the limit is roughly 550wtq (and its quite well known), why do people push it? There are several RS3's that have grenaded by pushing torque. These arn't tuning issues... these are physical limitations of the factory motor.

Hmmm, then again maybe I shouldn't talk. Had the lofty goal of a 9s ET on the F10 M5 on a stock motor Click here to enlarge (BUT, was able to do it without blowing up)

What does the wheel torque limit expand to with a built motor? 1000wtq?

I think it was the 'hypothetical limit' until this occurred... Now it is simply 'the limit'.

the DQ500 can do about 750wtq with upgraded clutches

That would be some serious torque out of 2.5l...

What about drivetrain upgrades? I always was under the impression that Audi Haldex sucked?!

usually when people say Haldex sucks they are talking about it being FWD biased and not being a true Quattro permanent awd, not power handling capacity as it can handle way more than the engine or trans can handle

fwiw the haldex is rated up to 3200 NM or 2360 ft/lbs of trq

I was asking in regards to a safety margin, I wouldn't build my engine to withstand 750wtq and then tune my engine to produce 750wtq, isn't that just asking for something to go wrong?

I was just joking in the sense that I don't think you're ever going to make 1,000wtq out of 2.5l. That would probably take something like 75lbs of boost to hit...

        this +1....

        fwiw their IMS1000 kit made about 870 whp/ 600 wtq on E85

        Thanks for clarification.

Why the torque rating is so high? The X-drive $#@!s the bed even with the stock turbo N54 let alone those numbers.
