    • Evolving Motorsports twin turbo R8 runs 9's on pump gas and 7 psi of boost - 9.86@139 1/4 mile

This is impressive for several reasons. First of all, cars that can repeat 9-second performance on the street do not exactly grow on trees. Secondly, this is a full weight R8 running 9's on 93 octane pump fuel and only 7 psi of boost.

Obviously the 5.2 liter V10 is very efficient but 9's on single digit boost is impressive.

Furthermore, this car is tuned on the factory ECU and is on the factory transmission.

      Not bad:

The 60 foot is cut off which is a shame. What we want to know is how much money for the stock ECU setup and why they are switching to a Syvecs if they have it running well on the factory computer.

It's crazy to think you can build something this badass and still have RS3 on your ass or possibly ahead of you. What a time we live in.

It's hard to see but in the video the 60' on the 9.8 pass is 1.60 you can see it on the timing board.

Someone should by a first Gen r8 with the v8 and swap it out for the RS3 5 banger and big single.

They should just produce an R8 with this damn motor already.

Rumor was they would but it died down and it seems the V10 will be the only option.
