    • Audi changing its mind about avants/wagons in the USA?

Wagons get little love from German automakers in the USA. Because of this, we miss out on some pretty special models especially from Audi who built a reputation on high performance wagons. Remember the B5 RS4? C6 RS6? C7 RS6? All models we did not receive in the USA due to our supposed wagon ambivalence.

There is a pretty large hole in the market for a good German wagons at a good price. BMW will not sell the G21 3-Series wagon in the USA. Mercedes-AMG sells the W213 E63 S wagon but it starts at $106,950.

To be fair, Mercedes-Benz is also now selling the E450 wagon in the USA which has a starting price of $64,200.

That is all you can get from BMW, Mercedes-Benz, or Audi with the exception of the Audi Allroad. That's the luxury German wagon market in the USA. It seems Audi feels the Allroad could use some actual Avant company hence this teaser below.

Are we finally getting some real Audi wagons?

Two weeks ago one of the sales people at the dealer was saying that the RS6 avant was returning to my market. I must say I'm excited. The C7.5 looks like a beast.

I was referring to the old model seeing as the new one isn't out yet.
