    • Tuned C7 Audi RS6 vs. Evolve Stage 2 tuned BMW F10 M5 top end drag race

Another fun race to see from Evolve Automotive as the C7 RS6 was not sold in the USA. You know the basic drivetrain features though as it is the exact same as the C7 RS7 under the hood. To be fair, the RS6 Avant is roughly 400 pounds heavier than the 4200 pound BMW F10 M5.

Predictably, the RS6 gets the advantage off the line thanks to that all wheel drive automatic. Now the question is if the F10 M5 can run it down.

It does. Once into 3rd gear the M5 starts to reel the RS6 in and wow does it pull past it like a freight train.

RWD plus a DCT trans may not be the best for getting off the line but the efficient and lighter powertrain sure pays dividends at speed.

      Evolve Stage 2 ECU Tune
      Evolve Catless Downpipes
      Eventuri Intake System
      Supersprint Rear Exhaust
      Pirelli Trofeo-R
      Shell V-Power 99

I assume 5200 lbs is a typo? Wouldn't surprise me if it weighed 4200 lbs though. Imagine what BMW could accomplish if they truly made an effort to put their cars on a diet?

Yes, it's a typo. Our F90 M5 came in at 4200 lbs on the scales my personal F10 M5 is at 4400 lbs. Pretty impressive IMO, they went AWD and shaved off 200lbs.
