    • Unitronic revises Stage 2 DQ500 DSG TCU software for the Audi 8V RS3 and 8S (MKII) TT-RS with 2.5 TFS EVO/DAZA

TCU (transmission control unit) tuning is only becoming more and more important in modern applications. Some tuners maybe be able to get big power out of the motor through ECU (engine control unit) tuning but if the transmission does not cooperate or hold that power what is the point?

Unitronic addresses both sides of the equation and continue to refine their TCU tuning.

What does this DQ500 TCU tuning update do?

Quicker gear shifts in S-mode and AMAX (Launch Control Mode)
      Increased torque limiter (1000Nm)
Increased clutch clamping pressure of up to 18 bar allowing capability of up to 900Nm of clutch torque.

It can not be overstated how important increased clamping pressure is in dual clutch applications. You can have the best clutch discs in the world but if you can not increase the line pressure they will not provide a benefit.

Unitronic is able to increase the torque limit and improve shift speed.
