    • VTT (Vargas) begins 2019 Audi RS3 sedan 2.5 TFSI tuning development - Stock, Unitronic Stage 1, E85, etc., results

VTT (Vargas Turbo Technologies) is beginning their 2.5 TFSI tuning development and a turbocharger upgrade is coming from them soon. For baseline testing, they choose Unitronic software and did stock, Stage 1, Stage 1+ 93 octane, and Stage 1+ E85 testing.

Quick overview of the mods on the car:

Quick recap, the car is stock except for IE intake, and 3.5" turbo inlet, VR1 DV, and our engine side catch can. On the mounts/suspension side. 034 "earthquake" mounts (our own nickname for how harsh they are), 034 dogbone upper/lower, 034 rear subframe inserts, 034 rear sway bar with end links.

So we did exactly what we said we were going to do, and went through each tune 1 by 1, and got dyno numbers on our own dynojet, and then did 1/4 mile pulls on the dragy at the same spot every time. NOW this spot is not officially a "valid" time on the dragy as its a little too downhill, but this is the only safe spot close to us for testing, and we are focused on the DELTA. Each run is done at EXACTLY the same place, so the delta between them all is what we are after.
      Dyno:

      Stock: 350WHP/336WTQ
      Stage 1 91OCT: 396WHP/408WTQ
      Stage 1+ 93 OCT: 433WHP/433WTQ
      Stage 1+ E85: 479WHP/464WTQ

      GPS 1/4 mile:

      Stock: 12.42@112.3

      Stage 1 91 stock mounts/suspension: 11.69@119.8

      Stage 1 91 034 mounts/suspension pieces: 11.34@122.3

      Stage 1+ 93: 11.23@123.2

      Stage 1+ E85: 10.86@129.7

It is going to be interesting to watch this build evolve and how the numbers compare.
