    • Dynojet comparison between stock Audi RS3 2.5 TFSI and APR Stage 1 91 octane, 93 octane, and E85 tunes

Great overlay from APR courtesy of APTuning and their Dynojet (numbers are at the front wheels). The test car is an 8V Audi RS3 sedan. The idea here is to show you how fuel quality and octane impact a tune and power.

The difference between each file is quite large even going from 91 to 93. Yes, those of us in California are jealous if you have pump 93 available.

      358whp/351wtq - Stock
      410whp/424wtq - 91 Octane
      442whp/456wtq - 93 Octane
      488whp/484wtq - E85

E85 ethanol wins out of course and it is amazing just how much power you can gain with a quality tune on E85 fuel.

Those with pump E85 available should absolutely utilize it.

I've only fueled up with 94 octane for the last 5 years Click here to enlarge and we got E85 a while back too! Hopefully one day California will catch up to the rest of the world... heh

we need more e85 pumps, there is only 1 station in Ventura county and its in the city of Ventura...looks like LA, Orange and San Diego counties are decently supplied.

Stupid question...can the RS3 go into FWD mode with just the push of a button? or did they do something to the haldex to disconnect it like they do in lambos?

It's as simple as adding a switch to the fuse for the haldex pump.

You basically turn the haldex off. No taking out drive shafts or anything like that.
