The idea of a compressor powered by electricity is nothing new. Mass adoption of a turbo that uses electricity to instantly spin the compressor before having to wait for exhaust gases certainly would be new. Yep, what you are seeing is a block with a hole torn in it thanks to a rod giving way and material flying out the side. It happens. This tuner originally said 900 Nm (663 lb-ft) would be fine but now they feel ~800 Nm (590-600 lb-ft) is a safer bet on a factory motor. ...Published on 10-15-2019 02:13 PM
Here is yet another 2.5 TFSI on the factory turbocharger tuned by Unitronic running 9's in the 1/4 mile. The 9.972 @ 137.52 pass is not as quick or fast as the recently posted stock turbo record holding TT-RS but that is likely because this RS3 sedan is a bit heavier. ...Published on 10-15-2019 11:36 AM
This is absolutely insane performance out of the factory 2.5 TFSI turbocharger. Obviously you need the tuning to pair with it and that is where Unitronic comes in. This is just a very simple comparison showing the stock Audi 8V RS3 sedan at the dragstrip compared to a subsequent run with the APR Stage I 91 octane ECU software. Keep in mind the 91 octane tune is the most mild Stage I software APR offers for the 2.5 TFSI. ...Published on 10-11-2019 08:02 PM
