• APR 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 'Ultracharger' removes a pre-supercharger throttle body restriction greatly improving efficiency - Dyno results

APR released some great products for the Audi 3.0 TFSI supercharged V6 recently. Their dual pulley system allows much greater boost from the factory blower by spinning it harder. Why just make the blower spin harder when you can also have it work more efficiently?

That is where the Ultracharger from APR for the 3.0 TFSI V6 comes into play:

Stunning carbon fiber and smooth cast-aluminum adorn the system, creating a clean and simple install that looks just as powerful it is. Finally, APRís innovative Ultracharger ECU Upgrade delivers a smooth and exciting driving experience, and it is included as a free upgrade to all who own an APR Stage II ECU Upgrade.
Let's discuss where the restriction is and how it is removed. It starts with the factory throttle body:

Larger throttle bodies providing a gain is nothing new and well proven to improve efficiency especially in boosted applications. Superchargers for example often pull air through the throttle body if they are positive displacement designs.

What APR is doing is removing the throttle body as a restriction which should improve flow and reduce pressure:

      The proof is here:

That 93 octane 421 AWHP figure is 28 awhp higher than without the Ultracharger. On race gas, the Ultracharger provides another 13 awhp.

For maximum efficiency, you will want the dual pulley setup plus the Ultracharger. Definitely worth the $1599.99 if you want to maximize your 3.0 TFSI output.

APR Ultracharger System (Includes upgrade from Stage 2 to Stage 2+ Ultra)

You must purchase or currently own APR Stage 1 and Stage 2 software to upgrade to the included Stage 2+ Ultra software. This product will not work without the ECU upgrade.

This upgrade is only applicable to superchargers with a pressed on pulley as shown here.
