    • Audi's 2.5 TFSI gets its eighth straight International Engine of the Year Award in 2017

This is what dominance looks like. Eight straight International Engine of the Year Awards for the 2.5 liter turbocharged Audi I5? Yep. There is no end in sight either as the motor was updated for duty in the MKIII TT-RS and the upcoming Audi RS3 sedan.

The all time leader in consecutive wins in its displacement category is the Volkswagen 1.4 liter twincharged TSI motor with nine straight. That engine is hardly a performance motor though.

Audi has a good chance at setting a record. This engine is not going anywhere anytime soon and it is hard to imagine anyone producing a better motor in its displacement category. Only Porsche comes close with their new 9A2B4.

The 400 horsepower version was not even judged this year so the odds for nine straight are looking very good.

audi 5cyl motors have always been one of my favs ever since the first time i drove my mom's audi 5000 S/Turbo way back in the day when i first got my driver's license

the new 2.5 TFSI is a monster when tuned and sound reminds me of audi's S1 group B rally car (super mean)...

I was waiting for the new w213 e63s to swap for my current W212 e63s, but i think i might be doing new RS3 iroz build and jeep trackhawk for DD
