    • Iroz adds an ethanol tune to an 8V Audi RS3 sedan and it runs 10.790@132.57 in the 1/4 mile

The RS3 sedan is just nuts. Topping 130 in the 1/4 mile on the stock turbo with some ethanol from a 2.5 liter inline-5 motor is absolutely incredible. To give this some perspective, this RS3 sedan can go toe to toe with a 911 Turbo.

It takes a bit more than an E85 tune but this is a completely bolt on modification affair:

The car was full interior, full weight. I didn't remove a single thing including seats, spare tire or any panels.

      Build specs
      - IRoz Motorsport/Custom Code Software Sea-level Ethanol (calibration today)
      - VCDS Drivetrain Mods
      - Iroz Motorsport Intercooler
      - Iroz Motorsport Catless Downpipe
      - Iroz Motorsport Mid-pipe
      - 034 Motorsports Dogbone Insert
      - BFI Stage 2 Transmission Mount (removed night before)
      - Volk ZE40 18x8.5 et44 (custom painted with no spacers)
      - Hankook RS3 235/40/18
      - H&R Sport Lowering Springs
      - SuperPro Sway Bars and End Links
Your typical bolt ons there but the RS3 is also full weight and on street tires. This should be an easy mid-10 second car if not better with some stickier rubber. A 1.7X 60 foot should get it there:

Audi truly outdid themselves with the new aluminum block 2.5 TFSI and the RS3 sedan as well as third generation Audi TT-RS.

      Notes from the runs...

      1. Power is super strong through the entire powerband. The power is definitely more noticeable from 70-80+
      2. Shifting seems solid and firm throughout my runs
      3. Launches are brutal in the car, both the Stage 1 and Stage 2+ cars launched hard enough that it knocked off the engine cover. I'll share some video when its ready.
      4. On the Hankook RS3 (235/40/18 - These tires are a year old with 80+ launches), off the line and well through 60', these tires spun on all passes. The car needs more tire (wider and better compound). I have R888Rs ready and Hoosier DR2s for next track day.
      5. 3 of the 5 runs had identical 60', 1.841. That has only happened one other time before
      6. I still need to test tire pressure. I only dropped them to 25psi in front and 33psi in the rear for last 2 runs.

That's insane!!! I assume they won't offer RS4 w the same engine? RS3 is a bit small for me....but that would be perfect size/numbers for some folks....I was toying the idea of an used S6 w RS7 turbos for my next DD.

        That engine is serious!
If VW can grab that engine in the next gen Golf-R

I wonder if this thing can pull off a 9.99 stock turbo? Sticky Rubber on a well prepped negative DA track (Atco) with some weight reduction might be able to pull it off...If they can pull a 1.4X 60ft a 9.99 is possible...

A 1.5X is more achievable and would put it around 10.2, very quick for stock turbo car.

An affordable hybrid OEM turbo bolt-in replacement puts this in the 9's stock internals

Incredible. the bank for buck on these is incredible. I see it was full weight - how much does the RS3 weigh?

It's very hard for AWD cars to get 60 fts faster than 1.6x's, they usually hit a wall as they can't get the weight transfer rearward.

250 pounds more than the TT-RS so 35XX range.

I havenít heard of that wall of 1.6 for awd cars. Is there any reading on it you can link me to?
nissan gtrís must be an exception to the rule then because they Iíve seen less than 1.6 quite a bit

When are we going to get some big turbo data for these cars, ttrs or rs3

        if iroz did a 9.5 with a built 2.0T golfR then I’m expecting a better time with a built 2.5T rs3/ttrs

Well Iroz with the previous gen TT-RS went 9.9 @ 147.5 (in Vegas) to give you an idea of what you can expect: https://www.audiboost.com/content.ph...n-the-1-4-mile
