    • 2.5 TFSI engine swap kits for MKVII Golf's coming from MTR Performance

The Audi 2.5 TFSI motor is not offered in Volkswagen products. A bummer if you are a VW fan or perhaps don't want to pony up the dough for an Audi RS model. What about if you could swap in the potent 2.5 TFSI turbo inline-5 into say a MKVII Golf R?

Now that would for a hell of a sleeper and essentially a Golf version of the RS3.

MTR Performance intends to offer 2.5 TFSI engine swap kits and they are currently doing an iron block 8V 2.5 TFSI swap into a MKVII Golf R.

It will be interesting to see how difficult it will be for them to use the new aluminum block version with dual-injection but in theory it should work.

You may also recall that Iroz did a similar swap into a MKVI Golf R so the 2.5 TFSI certainly can be used in other VAG chassis'.

It remains to be seen what the MTR Performance engine swap kit will cost and if they will put the motor in anything beyond the MKVII Golf.
