    • APR Stage 2 tuned C7 Audi RS7 4.0 TFSI vs. Tesla Model S P100D on the dragstrip

You all know what the Audi RS7 is capable of with some APR tuning but as a reminder we have seen many of them do low 10's at over 130 miles per hour. Now, on paper, that means the Tesla is going to lose as it is not as quick or as fast.

The main thing the Tesla Model S P100D with Ludicrous mode has going for it is a ton of torque right off the launch. Even the all wheel drive RS7 will struggle to keep up with it for the first few hundred feet.

Past 60 though the top end of the 4.0 TFSI will be too much to overcome.

In practice? Closer than you might think. The Model S is not affected by density altitude.

We get two 10.7's although the RS7 is obviously pulling much harder:

Awesome race but put the RS7 on race gas next time. One also has to wonder if the Tesla has any weight stripped out.

The trap speed shows how hard the RS7 pulling to ultimately pass the Tesla. Over 100mph the Tesla is no match for the RS7 for sure....

It's worth noting that the stage 2 tuned RS7 cannot pull past the stock Tesla until over 100mph though...The Tesla has a 0.1sec lead @ 660ft and even has a 0.03sec lead @ 1000ft mark.

Its not until the very last 320ft of the 1/4 mile that the RS7 passes the Tesla and the RS7 is moving more than 100mph at that point.

Yep it's pretty close and hard to take down low for sure.

This is why I intend to have more than enough power.

Have yet to run a P100D but P90 and below have not impressed me.

You've drag raced your 911 vs. a P90D up to low-mid speeds and won?

I say low-mid because i don't imagine you are going over 100mph on the street

Um no comment on the street speed thing?

It was a Model X so heavier but it was relatively easy to beat. I had a passenger too.

For a heavy boat it hung in well.
