    • The rear wheel drive 2019 Audi R8 RWS is a steal at $138,700

Yes, $138,700 is a lot of money. It is also over $26,000 less than a base R8 V10 and roughly $56,000 less than an Audi R8 V10 Plus. In that context, it is a heck of a bargain. Not only do you save money but you save weight by ditching the all wheel drive system.

Audi says the weight savings amount to 110 pounds. That is not quite as much as you would hope for but it puts the R8 around 3500 pounds.

Add a tune from your tuner of choice to bring the car up to R8 V10 Plus levels if not higher and you have the best power to weight ratio of any naturally aspirated Audi R8 on the market.

The downside? Only 999 are being built which means there may be a fight for them by enthusiasts. Only 320 are coming to the USA.

This car is cheaper than the Porsche 911 GT3 and gives you a 5.2 liter V10 that revs over 8500 rpm. It's a steal.

No, the 1912 Audi Type C was first followed by the 1938 Audi 920.

First in a long while though.

Interesting. I wonder when Twin turbo V6 is ever going to happen and if they going to offer it 2wd as well as talk is of four new variants of R8.

Seems quiet on the V6 front after this was released.

        I hope it happens.
