    • VF-Engineering takes a 2018 Audi R8 V10 RWS to over 600 horsepower with their Hex Tuning software only

The Audi R8 V10 RWS is the best value when it when it comes to tuning the VW Auto Group 5.2 liter naturally aspirated V10. The car is a bargain compared to a Lamborghini Huracan or even its all wheel drive R8 V10 Plus sibling at its $138,700 price point.

They shave off 110 pounds and $56,000 off the R8 V10 Plus MSRP. The V10 Plus of course has 600 horsepower from the factory while the R8 RWS has 'only' 532 hosepower. This is artificially limited through ECU tuning software.

That is where VF-Engineering comes into the picture with their Hex Tuning software. They increase output over stock by 58 rear wheel horsepower and rev it out a bit up top as well:

That is comfortably over 600 horsepower at the crank or in other words slightly more than R8 V10 Plus power at a fraction of the cost in a lighter and cheaper package.

That sounds like a huge win to us.

Our Hex Flash ECU tune takes 15 minutes to electronically program high performance software into the engines computers with no mechanical work and itís fully reversible.

Official power gains are listed on our website as:

      +55-60 WHP
      +25-30 WTQ

Per usual, all testing is done with good old California 91 Octane,
and advertised gains are based on the average stock runs, and
"low/average" tuned runs; which means that in true HEX Tuning
fashion, the actual gains for even our most discerning customers
will meet or exceed exactly what you see poster here.

Besides more power from the factory, do the plus models have options the base canít get? Seems kind of silly to spend the extra money if all youíre getting is extra power that can be easily attained with a tune for much less.

        Exactly.

I'm not aware of anything the Plus has the standard car can't have.

don't know about gen 2 but on gen 1 the plus gives you the power, ceramic brakes, different gear ratios, and no magnetic ride suspension.
