    • USA getting third Audi model with 400 hp 2.5 TFSI motor - 2020 Audi RS Q3 confirmed

The USA was skipped over on the previous generation RS Q3 but not this time. All is forgiven as Audi will bring the 400 horsepower 2.5 TFSI powered compact SUV to North America. It may be small but thanks to that low weight the RS Q3 is going to run circles around all other SUV's.

If you want to call it an SUV. There is not all that much utility there beyond the added space. Still, all upgrades will carry over and despite weighing a bit more than the RS3 sedan expect similar, incredible performance. It is the exact same dual clutch all wheel drive drivetrain after all.

Audi tuners are no doubt ecstatic and for those of you enthusiasts looking for a crossover, this is the one to have at any price point.

      9-second RS Q3's anyone?

Yeah, it should make a great daily driver. Plenty of reliable performance if you don't need the last tenth, comfortable for a family of 4 for anything short of a multiweek road trip, the right height for the old and/or infirm to get in and out of without a struggle. And last but not least, almost invisible to cops as long as you pick the right color.

I look forward to getting kicked off the track with one. I'd prefer an RS3 at 10/10ths but for anything less I think this looks like a better choice.

Completely unrelated. Is no one tuning the new RS5? Why all effort going towards the RS3? I would have thought their was good potential with the hot-v twin turbo V6.

Because they didn't update the 2.5 TFSI ECU. Tuneable from the beginning. The RS5 is still locked but it still won't be anywhere near as good.
